Acai Berry Improves Cell Protection

Research Shows that the Acai Berry Improves Cell Protection

Researchers discovered in a recent in-vitro study that the acai berry, known to be a high ORAC, (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity), activates an enzyme called quinone reduc-tase, or QR in the body. A high level of QR is often associated with resistance against stress and improved protection of cells.

This study, which was conducted at FutureCeuticals' Lab, revealed that the acai berry stimulated QR levels as high as 316% with a concentration of 0.027%.

The acai berry has been considered a superfruit because of the extreme abundance of antioxidants it has, which conveniently provide bountiful health benefits. Because of the recent discovery of high QR levels it contains, researchers are saying that the sky is the limit for the acai berry.

You may now be wondering what is so great about the QR enzyme, and for good reason. Well basically, QR is considered valuable because it fights off cellular damage caused by toxicity in the body, e.g. chronic diseases and cancers. Consequently, the acai berry activates QR in the body and manages the negative effects of free radicals and toxins.
